Who is PSS?

At Penobscot Support Services, LLC, our team is technically trained and service-oriented to be a premiere federal solutions provider. We specialize in facility support services, specialty trade, repair, and installation services. We are also a best-value equipment and supply chain small business providing mechanical, electrical, laboratory, IT, telecom equipment and supplies.

We focus on optimizing and maintaining your facility while you focus on running your agency, program, or business.  Our team of professionals draws from decades of collective managerial experience, fulfilling the needs of Federal and Commercial customers. As a burgeoning small business, we are certified in the US Small Business Administration's 8(a) Business Development and the Department of Transportation's DBE program (in Maine), offering contract vehicles to help facilitate our clients needs to get the work done.

Majority-owned by the Penobscot Indian Nation, we are known as the pene-wap-skewi (Ben-ah-wabp-sku-Wee), or "the people along the rocks," of the Penobscot River. Our tribe is the only Native government and community that resides entirely on an Island within a freshwater river.  The mission of PSS is to bring net revenues and opportunity to the Nation and its citizens. What We Do

At PSS, we specialize in providing timely and reliable solutions for your technical needs. We specialize in providing installation, maintenance, and repair for most mechanical and electrical systems within your facility. We further provide labor support for facility and base operations, warehousing, janitorial, landscaping, and waste management. We can also provide Informational Technology and Administrative support services. The foundation of PSS is people, hard-working qualified people who will take on virtually any challenge. Our goal is to perform on your schedule - at costs that help you manage your budget while continuing to effectively manage your program. At PSS, we have built a large volume of support service work in the local commercial market. We've completed numerous projects in the services listed above. We have had the pleasure of providing various Facility Support Services, O&M Services, Electrical, Mechancial and other HVAC installation and repair projects at multiple agency facilities since we first open back in 2012. These diverse services are geared towards our overall business plan goal to become a leading Facilities and Base Operations Support Services small business. We will take on many facility’s needs, and other specialties, while continuing to develop our fuller Facilities Support Services portfolio.

We provide industrial and electrical supply lines for our local commercial customers.  We are expanding to other markets, including customers within the Bureau of Indian Affairs, National Institute of Standards & Technology, and National Institute on Health. PSS can also provide OEM needs under U.S. SBA non-manufacturing rules. 


At Penobscot Support Services, if you have immediate needs, we can provide best value qoutes for trades, maintenance, repair, Green, and admin staffing services and procurements under direct award options. As an US SBA 8(a) participant, PSS can receive sole–source contracts and being tribally-owned, we have no maximum value cap. This process offers a fast and simple procurement and operational execution. The open negotiations process allows for seamless program integration as compared to competitive award transition periods. Lastly, this option also typically supports contracting office's social economical organizational small business goals.
